Objective:

To design and launch a creator-focused platform that offers an alternative to YouTube and Facebook by:

  • Allowing creators to own their content and channels.

  • Enabling video uploads, live workshops, and premium events.

  • Integrating direct payment options for monetization.

  • Providing an intuitive, visually appealing, and scalable interface.

Strategic Goals

  1. Empower Creators – Give them full control over branding, monetization, and distribution.

  2. Create Differentiation – Position MCFLY TV as a premium, creator-owned alternative to ad-driven platforms.

  3. Deliver a Seamless User Experience – Minimize friction for both creators and viewers.

  4. Support Sustainable Monetization – Enable creators to earn via subscriptions, pay-per-view, and workshop ticket sales.

UX/UI Design Process

User Flows

  • Creator Onboarding Flow – Quick channel creation, payment account setup, first upload.

  • Viewer Journey Flow – Content discovery → purchase/subscription → viewing experience.


Wireframes & Prototyping

  • Low-fidelity wireframes to validate navigation structure.

  • Mid/high-fidelity clickable prototypes for usability testing.


UI Design Principles

  • Minimal, clean layouts to keep focus on content.

  • Creator branding takes priority on their channel pages.

  • Consistent design system for scalability (colors, typography, components).

  • Accessible color contrasts and clear typography for all audiences.


Asset Creation

As Lead Designer, I developed a comprehensive design and brand toolkit for MCFLY TV:

  • Logo & Brand Identity – Modern, bold typography and a dynamic color palette.

  • Icon Set – Custom icons for content types (video, workshop, live, premium).

  • Thumbnail Templates – For creators to maintain consistent branding.

  • Workshop & Event Templates – Ready-to-use layouts for live and recorded events.

  • UI Component Library – Buttons, navigation bars, cards, modals, and form components in Figma.
